The Many Uses of CBD Oil

The Many Uses of CBD Oil

It’s no secret that there is an overwhelming amount of information out there about CBD oil and it’s uses. In the CBD oil industry, everyone wants you looking at their product and choosing it to add to your health regimen. Why are you using CBD oil, though? This question is the first place to start when deciding what CBD oil will work best for you. There are key questions to ask yourself before choosing a CBD oil item or a product that includes CBD oil. So, we’re here to help. We’ve gathered the info on CBD oil and its many uses and have kept things to the necessary basics so that it’s not an overwhelming amount of information. This article can be used as a guide when trying to select the CBD oil that will work for your specific needs.

As stated above we begin by asking ourselves the question, “Why am I using CBD oil?” If you’re using CBD oil for anxiety, we suggest taking a CBD oil sublingually and pairing it with vaporizing CBD concentrates. If you’re using CBD oil for muscular pain we highly recommend a topical treatment paired with taking CBD oil sublingually. There are times when CBD oil and it’s variations can even be tripled up on application in order to tackle the issue at hand from multiple angles. Let’s take a look at the different uses of CBD oil and it’s variations below:

1. Topical -

Perfect for: Muscular and Nerve Pain

CBD oil can be infused into and applied in many ways. One of the wonderful ways we have figured out to utilize the healing benefits of CBD oil is through topical application. CBD oil can be infused into balms, salves, lotions, and other oils so that it is easy to apply topically. This method of CBD oil use is perfect for muscular and nerve pain. When massage into the area it's applied the CBD oil infused into the product penetrates into the muscles and nerves and almost instantly works to soothe inflammation. Inflammation is the #1 cause of pain in our muscles so this application of CBD oil could be exactly what you need to resolve muscular or nerve pain. The great thing about topical CBD oil applications is that they can still be applied when CBD is taken orally and when it's being vaporized. You don't have to choose one or the other. That's the beauty of CBD oil.

2. Oral -

Perfect for: Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia

Slowly but surely it's evolving into common knowledge that CBD oil can be taken sublingually in order to balance our systems out internally. If you'd like to learn more about that please feel free to read our very first blog entry which will explain all about how CBD oil balances out your Endocannabinoid system. When taken orally, CBD oil enters the bloodstream and works to balance a vital system in the body. When taken over time this method of consuming CBD oil can gradually resolve anxiety, depression, pain, and a multitude of other life altering setbacks. There are several options for taking CBD oil orally: Tinctures, capsules, CBD oil it it's original form. The most potent of the 3 is typically a full spectrum CBD oil that is to be taken sublingually under the tongue. CBD oil capsules and tinctures tend to have a lower potency but are wonderful ways to micro-dose CBD throughout the day as well as introduce it into your routine.

3. Inhalation -

Perfect for: Instant relief from Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia & Physical Pain

Vaporizing CBD oil is our favorite way to knock out pain and discomfort FAST. Although this method of consuming CBD oil won't balance your system out it's the perfect go-to when you're in a moment where instant relief is needed. There are a couple of different methods of inhaling CBD oil that have been found to alleviate discomfort and pain. CBD oil cartridges are available to attach to a small battery and keep in convenient areas such as a purse or on your bedside. CBD oil is offered in concentrate form for those familiar with dabbing concentrated plant medicine oils. CBD flower is also available to smoke just as you would other healing herbs. Most find that whichever symptom plaguing them before inhaling CBD oil gradually eases with each breath in of the healing plant. If symptoms persist this method can be paired with both oral applications of CBD oil as well as topical CBD oil applications. Just simply ingest your CBD oil orally, apply topically, and inhale your CBD through the method of your choice until your symptoms subside.

CBD Cartridges

All of these methods should definitely be discussed with your doctor before beginning. CBD oil has been scientifically and medically proven to assist in naturally healing the body internally, however consulting with a doctor is always the smartest choice. We hope this guide provided you with a more thorough knowledge on the different options and ways that CBD oil can assist in easing discomfort, pain, insomnia, or just balancing your system. If you have any questions about the uses of CBD oil and it's applications feel free to email us at info@wellness.forsale. As always, we are here to help.

The Convenience of CBD Capsules

The Convenience of CBD Capsules

If you’re looking for convenience and ease when adding CBD to your lifestyle CBD capsules are the way to go. Convenience is something we look for in any regimen we develop. If it isn’t easy to remember and do it’s likely we won’t develop the habit of performing the regimen consistently. Which is why we want to fill you in as much as possible about the ease of CBD capsules. A lot of people are working to incorporate CBD into their immune boosting routines during current times and CBD capsules are an easy way to remember.

Sometimes taste or even just taking a minute to sublingually ingest oil can feel inconvenient or create an obstacle in developing a new system for yourself. CBD capsules take care of a lot of these issues. We want you to feel like you have enough knowledge on CBD capsules in order to make an informed decision on how to add CBD capsules to your health routine. So, we’ve listed our top 3 reasons to consider CBD capsules for your health routine:

As Easy As Taking a Vitamin:

As a society we are used to medication and supplements in pill or capsule form. For some, adding a supplement that is in a totally different form can throw off the system you already have in place. For instance, CBD capsules are perfect for those who use pill containers. These trays are categorized by days of the week and have sections in them to organize pills and capsules.

There’s no way you can store an oil with the rest of your pills if a pill container is apart of your regimen. CBD capsules are perfect for organizing this way and CBD capsules should fit into your routine easily just like any other supplement you may add.

No Spills or Leaks:

If the outer container of your CBD capsules gets damaged in any way the chances of your CBD capsules remaining in good condition is more likely than if the same happened to a CBD oil or CBD tincture. Knocking over a bottle of CBD oil can mean you have to go out and buy a new bottle in order to avoid missing your next dosage. Knocking over a bottle of CBD capsules will likely just result in you having to pick a lot of capsules up, but you’ll still have the plant medicine you need.

It’s easy to toss a purse or backpack with CBD oil stored inside and accidentally break that bottle. CBD capsules protect your oil and can be a little more durable than if you had a bottle with just liquid oil inside. This makes CBD capsules a fantastic option for traveling.

Accurate Dosing:

CBD capsules will give you an accurate dose of CBD every single time. A common concern when taking CBD oil is how much to take and how to measure things out . Even if the dropper has the mL’s labeled for you it can just be confusing because we are so used to pills and capsules. CBD capsules were primarily made for this exact reason. CBD capsules are always measured out for you accurately and include the amount of CBD within each capsule on the front of the bottle. CBD capsules are reliable and convenient in this way and can be consumed with confidence that you are getting the exact amount of CBD necessary.

CBD capsules really are no switch from your regular medicinal or supplemental routine but will provide you with the cannabinoids that you need in order to keep your system balanced. CBD capsules can be a great way to start out your CBD regimen and as you see the benefits of CBD capsules it will become easier to consider other forms of CBD such as oil. Whichever way is best for you to work CBD into your daily life is the way to go as cannabinoids are so necessary for our overall quality of life.

If you’re in need of CBD capsules you can find a few options in our shop. A great way to get to all of our wonderful CBD capsule options is to type CBD capsules into the search field at the top right of your screen and all of our CBD capsule options will pop right up for you. We have great CBD capsule options with brands like Berkeley Gold, Papa and Barkely, and Im Bue Botanicals. As always feel free to email us at info@wellness.forsale if you have questions about CBD capsules or just need help getting your CBD regimen started in general. We are always here to help you.

How to Create Energetic Wellness in Your Home

How to Create Energetic Wellness in Your Home

If you’re like the majority of the people on the planet right now you’re spending way more time at home these days than you ever intended. Feeling cooped up in your space despite efforts to spend socially distant time outside, may suggest the need for changing some things up inside to promote energetic wellness. As the energy in your home can affect your mood, productivity, and overall wellness, why not use this time to clear out what you don’t need, move some furniture around, and get a fresh new outlook on what you can do to your space?

It is no question that our environment affects how we function so we’ve come up with some wellness focused tips on creating an energetically healthy and clean environment for you and your family. In our opinion, a combination of Feng Shui, Marie Kondo’s organizational methods, and some positive cleansing practices can really turn the energetic wellness around in your home. Let’s take a look:

1.) Feng Shui:

There are so many facets to Feng Shui that we couldn’t possible cover them all here but Feng Shui concepts are at the root of energetic wellness in the home so we definitely can’t leave it out. For a thorough look at all of the energetic wellness concepts of Feng Shui, we recommend The Complete Illustrated Guide to Feng Shui by Lillian Too. In its most basic message though, Feng Shui promotes the idea of arranging your furniture in a way that it feels good to you and promotes energetic wellness. These arrangements can change as life does so think about the best flow of traffic through your house when making decisions on where to place things.

Light and color are also big Feng Shui factors that can affect your overall wellness. The colors in your space should complement each other as this will bring a sense of cohesiveness and completion to the room. Try to stay away from harsh overhead lighting and opt for lamp light instead as this will create a calming effect in your space.

2.) Doesn’t Serve You? Throw it Out!

If you’ve never watched Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix, consider this part of the article a show recommendation as well. On her show as well as in her book, Spark Joy, Marie helps you achieve energetic wellness by getting rid of anything that doesn’t spark joy. Not kidding. And if you can wrap your head around it, it feels GREAT to do.

She has her clients go through their homes item by item and evaluate the energetic wellness of that item by asking themselves if they LOVE the object or not. Does this item make them feel joy? If the answer is no, then it is weighing the energetic wellness of their home down and should be donated so that the opportunity for it to spark joy for another can be created. This is a great way to achieve energetic wellness within your home and spread energetic wellness to others. We cannot recommend diving into Marie Kondo’s show enough. It’s a real game changer for at-home energetic wellness improvements.

3.) Keep it Clean!

During a time when viruses and bacteria are more of a threat than ever the hygienic upkeep of your home should totally be amp-ed up. You really can’t be too careful and the overall cleanliness of your home promotes positive energetic wellness. When it comes to cleaning products try and make your own in order to eliminate the chance of toxic chemicals. We mix 3-4 drops of eucalyptus, lemon, and orange essential oils into a spray bottle as an all purpose cleaner. Orange essential oil mixed with hot water is perfect for mopping your floors.

Probably the best tool in our energetic wellness arsenal is sage. Sage smudging is much more than a spiritual practice as it has antiviral and antibacterial properties. It is said to clear your space of negativity and is an ancient tool for energetic wellness. Sage can be found wild in some areas or it can be purchased online. We apply sage smudging to our energetic wellness practices after cleaning each space in our home.

As a final note, bringing plant life into your space is something we’re always going to recommend. It uplifts you, gives you a sense of purpose as you take care of it, and adds natural color.

These are just a few great ways to promote energetic wellness during your time indoors. There are really amazing ways we’ve cultivated over the years that can make this time pleasant for us and we are all about gathering those practices and bringing them to you here. So, fire up your Netflix, tune-in to Marie Kondo, and get ready to spark major joy in your home with these energetic wellness tips. If you are looking for even more advice on improving the energetic wellness of your environment don’t hesitate to contact us at info@wellness.forsale. We’re always here to help!

CBD Oil vs CBD Tincture and How to Tell the Difference

CBD Oil vs CBD Tincture and How to Tell the Difference

CBD tincture, oil, concentrate, flower, the list goes on and on. Where to start can be difficult when deciding on what form of CBD you need most. With tons of information on the internet about CBD it can also be a challenge sifting through all of the facts. During a time when we need honest, straight forward information in order to make educated decisions about our health we want to make it easy for you to understand the two most common options for CBD and their uses.

A great way to understand CBD tinctures vs. oils is to focus on why you would like to begin taking CBD. As one option is stronger than the other, a big question to help you decide whether a CBD tincture will work better for you vs. a CBD oil, is if you have symptoms that bring you discomfort and pain or not. Is what you're experiencing a subtle discomfort or something more consistent and at times even extreme? Perhaps you aren’t experiencing an issue at all but instead you’re interested in keeping your endocannabinoid system in balance to prevent issues in the future. These are all important things to consider.

When it comes to CBD and its many uses, the more knowledge you have the more you know how to apply, ingest, and even inhale the many benefits of the healing cannabinoid. In this post we’re going to hone in on CBD oils vs. CBD tinctures and their differencesas well as their benefits:

CBD Oil:

The process of making CBD oil involves pulling the oil from the cannabis plant’s seeds, flowers, and stalks. This is the highest concentration of CBD that can be ingested orally. It includes fatty acids, proteins, and essential vitamins and minerals. You will often see this form of CBD combined with a carrier oil to make it easier for the body to absorb.

Common carrier oils for CBD include: coconut oil, MCT oil, vegetable glycerin base, or simply the hemp oil alone. Out of all options to take CBD sublingually this is the most potent form. This option is excellent for those looking for quick balancing of the endocannabinoid system. CBD oil vs. tincture is also a great option for anxiety/depression and/or pain when combined with vaporizing a CBD concentrate. Overall, this is the stronger choice of the two oral CBD options.

CBD Tincture:

Although CBD tinctures aren’t as potent as CBD oils they aren’t to be underestimated! They have their own specific advantages and uses. Any medication under alcohol arrangement is referred to as a tincture. Typically CBD tinctures are combined with alcohol, glycerin, or cinnamon/peppermint oil. A lot of the qualities that are maintained in CBD oil are dulled during the distillation process that CBD tinctures undergo. Making them the perfect option for someone just starting their CBD journey. CBD tinctures are also a great option for those not suffering from any specific symptoms but would like to keep their endocannabinoid system in balance. Another advantage to CBD tinctures is that their shelf life is considerably longer than CBD oil. The alcohol involved in the distillation of tinctures act as a preservative for the natural medication.

Both of these great CBD options should be taken by sublingual absorption for optimum results. We suggest dropping the recommended dosage underneath the tongue and letting the CBD medication of your choice dissolve. Try not to swallow it directly as it absorbs into the bloodstream faster when dissolved under the tongue.

Whether you choose a CBD tincture or CBD oil, beginning a regimen to get cannabinoids into your system is always a positive choice. Consider beginning with tinctures if you’ve never taken CBD before and gradually move up to a CBD oil. If you’re experiencing pain it wouldn’t be a bad idea to begin with using an oil. As always let your doctor know before beginning any new CBD medication to make sure it aligns with what your body needs. You are always welcome to email us at info@wellness.forsale with any CBD or wellness related questions. We’re here to help!

Tune Out Anxiety With CBD & Sound

Tune Out Anxiety With CBD & Sound

“Sounds affect your hormone secretions all of the time. Not only that they raise and lower your heart rate, affect your breathing, and your brain waves,” Julian Treasure informs us during his sensory triggering TED talk. The sound and communication expert focuses on causing different reactions to his audience by use of alarming and soothing sounds while he speaks. He explains that just as there are sounds that can quite effectively alert us, there are also tones at different frequencies that can actually lift our moods, calm our anxieties, and help us improve our emotional state.

Researchers have found that focusing on two tones together that have frequencies of less than 1000 Hz can assist you in reaching a meditative mental state. Binaural beats are combined tones within this range that create this mental processing effect. Different combined tones of this nature can target and improve aspects of our mental, emotional, and physiological states. There are entire musical tracks out there that we’re going to share with you later that target altering your moods in the most positive ways. But first, we’re going to explain a bit more on which frequencies can affect you and how.

  • Binaural beats in the delta (1 to 4 Hz) range have been associated with deep sleep and relaxation.
  • Tones in the theta (4 to 8 Hz) range are linked to REM sleep, reduced anxiety, relaxation, along with meditative states. These tones can also assist in helping the listener to feel more creative. We suggest combining these types of tones with one of your daily doses of CBD.
  • Tones in the alpha frequencies (8 to 13 Hz) are thought to promote positivity, and help the listener experience an uplifted shift in their overall mood. CBD would also work well in combination with listening to these tones.
  • Binaural beats in the lower beta frequencies (14 to 30 Hz) are wonderful for those trying to focus or deal with problem solving tasks. Tones within this range have even been known to help those struggling with memory issues.

If you’ve ever kind of mentally checked out as two people began talking at once...this is why. Only now you have the knowledge on using this type of audible processing to your advantage instead of just experiencing it in awkward conversation. Research results show a decrease in anxiety, insulin-like growth factor, and dopamine.

During a time where we’re reaching for every possible outlet to relieve anxiety, everyone could use some carefully composed sound frequencies. So take your dose of CBD, grab some headphones, and find a comfy spot to vibe out and lift your mood in a new and effective way. Check out the videos below for our favorite binaural tracks.

The Good Mood Diet

The Good Mood Diet

“The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude”, said Dennis S. Brown. Once upon a time. Somewhere. But sometimes, it’s just not that easy to be in a good mood. Between the rigors of every-day living and suddenly, a virus lurking behind each and every crevice on the planet, being in a good mood seems almost like some sick, twisted impossibility achieved only in the most optimistic of fairy tales. But fear not! Did you know certain foods actually have the ability to alter moods? Like, by a lot.

Now, the thing about the human mind, and body, is its ability to do just about anything.  With the exception of producing L-Tryptophan. It’s pretty bad at doing that considering well, it just can’t. And why does that matter? Well, L-Tryptophan, when processed in our bodies, converts to Serotonin, a crucial chemical known to aid with digestive health and overall well-being---or rather, “mood”. But if we can’t make it on our own, then we gotta’ get it from somewhere, right? And that’s where the “Mood Diet” comes into play!

So let us take a look…

The yolks of eggs are full of L-tryptophan. If you aren't vegetarian, eggs are a great way to incorporate this much needed chemical into the first meal of the day. If what you're aiming for is a positive mood inducing meal, be sure to include the yolks. Egg whites don't contain half as much L-tryptophan as the yolk-y middle does. So, whichever way you prefer: Sunny-side up, scrambled, or fried, eggs are sure to keep you feeling happy and healthy.

If you are vegetarian or vegan a wonderful source of L-tryptophan are tofu or soy food products. Tofu is a great protein substitute so whip up any of your favorite protein rich meals and throw in tofu as your meat alternative. Edamame is the perfect soy snack to munch on for a boost of l-tryptophan and miso soup is our favorite tofu meal when we're in need for some real feel good food.

Salmon is a wonderful source of L-tryptophan and can be cooked or even eaten raw. Do you like sushi? Toss some salmon into your rolls to fill them with  l-tryptophan. If you're not a sushi fan, eating a nicely baked salmon filet will also give you everything your brain needs to produce serotonin. Salmon is one of the highest foods in l-tryptophan so whichever way you have it, it's definitely helping to enhance the way you feel.

Most seeds and nuts are full of this happy, natural chemical. Walnuts specifically have a ton of l-tryptophan. We suggest making a great trail mix full of walnuts and other seeds like chia seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and pistachio nuts, all of which are full of what we need. Keeping a mix like this around can be really helpful when you need a mood boost. These seeds and nuts are also a great way to work l-tryptophan into your meals.

Along with all of the foods listed above, incorporating CBD into your daily regimen will aid in your body's production of serotonin. Researchers at the National Center for Biotechnology Information have recently found that when combined with CBD, the absorption of l-tryptophan is boosted significantly, aiding in the production of serotonin. This is why we feel relaxed or even more positive shortly after taking CBD. If you're having trouble enhancing your mood or feeling the effects of CBD it may be beneficial to add foods rich in l-tryptophan to your diet. The two work together wonderfully and need each other in order to make a positive difference in mood. You can find high quality CBD oils and products in our online shop. Just click the link above and select the CBD option that works best for you.

So there you have it. There's no better time to shift the focus of your diet to optimum mental health. These are some great foods and tools to get you started on the path to positive mental health. If you have questions about which CBD products to select or how to incorporate CBD into your regimen along with these foods don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@wellness.forsale. We're here to help you feel as mentally and physically strong as possible.

The Mind Over Matter Workout

The Mind Over Matter Workout

What do you imagine when you reflect on what you know about meditation? Perhaps a person sitting cross-legged, eyes closed, humming, "OOOOOMMMM," kind of goofily? That visual tends to be the typical take-away of meditation in general. However, if you could see inside of the mind of a person meditating you would see an entire process of defined steps for a thorough mental exercise that aids in developing extreme control over thoughts.

Meditation is the most effective practice currently known to help us achieve ultimate mind over matter ability. When you have a strong hold on what thoughts zip in and out of your mind you gain a controlled perspective in processing all life circumstances. What better time than now to begin exercising your mind in this way? So what are these steps that thoroughly re-route the brain into remaining calm and consistent during tumultuous times? Follow each one in this order:

Step 1: Shift your Mindset & Set Up Your Space

In order to center your mind a bit before your practice we want to let you know how you can use CBD oil to expand your meditative benefits. Select the CBD product of your choice and be sure to take it 30 minutes before you meditate. This will allow any anxieties of the day to be calmed so that you can focus on finding your center. While you’re waiting for your CBD to settle in, you can set up a nice quiet space to focus on your meditative practice.

Using incense or some type of aromatherapy is always beneficial as your sense of smell will be heightened while your eyes are closed. Adequate lighting is helpful also as it will help you access your third eye. After you feel comfortable in your space you’re ready to begin the steps that will lead to a successful practice.

Step 2: Find Your Posture

Being in the seated position with crossed legs and good posture is important for
every other step in the meditative process. Having a straight spine in a relaxed seated position aligns all chakras, (main energy centers along the spine) and provides clear oxygen flow to the brain.

Those just beginning to explore meditation may find that maintaining this posture can be distracting from the rest of the process. I highly recommend using a wall as a brace to support the spine and head effortlessly. A pillow placed below the seat is recommended as it drops the knees downward allowing the spine straighter alignment.

Step 3: Access Your Third Eye

Once you are seated comfortably it is time to access your third eye. This is done by closing the eyes and directing your gaze upward between your eyebrows. You will see the visual of a round space slightly illuminated by light. In order to check if it is in fact your third eye you can place two fingers on top of your forehead where this visual is located and you will find that it disappears as you have blocked the outside light from illuminating it.

This powerful space in the forehead that can detect light sources is your third eye and the point you will focus on during the entirety of your meditative practice. The more you evolve your practice the easier it will become to maintain your gaze on this focal point for long periods of time.

Step 4: Counting Your Breaths

After settling in on the first two steps begin to notice your breath. Let the rhythm of breathing flow naturally and then start counting each inhale and exhale all the way up to 10. For example: Inhale, (1) Exhale, (2) Inhale, (3)...and so on. You will count this way until you reach 10 and then you will start over again at one.

Step 5: Clear Your Mind

The only time you will veer from this pattern of counting and breathing is if you find that thoughts beyond counting begin to come in. This is very common while evolving your practice. The second you recognize any thoughts coming in begin counting your breaths at 1 again. You may find yourself only getting to 2 and having to start over. You may not reach 10 for an entire meditative session. This is totally okay and simply just you training your mind to have control over your thoughts. It isn't easy! The idea is to not be hard on yourself and embrace the process entirely. Keep it up and you will definitely reach the ability to center your mind on the process and clear your head of thoughts.

This practice will allow your brain much needed rest that we aren't able to receive even during sleep. Meditation reduces anxiety greatly and can gradually resolve depression. It improves sleep and once you find a flow in your practice you can move on to different forms of meditation that improve different issues. Guided meditation is the easiest way to begin this practice and there are limitless resources online for guided meditation tracks. Please see the links below for our favorite beginner tracks and feel free to contact us at info@wellness.forsale for further resources and advising on starting your mediation practice.

*Each of these tracks have different guided variations of the techniques listed above:*

What Do You Know about Your Endocannabinoid System?

What Do You Know about Your Endocannabinoid System?

We know and hear about the different systems in the human body all of the time: The skeletal system, nervous system, digestive system, respiratory system, reproductive system, etc. Most were discovered decades and even over a century ago. Therefore, our knowledge on these bodily systems is quite advanced. We know how to repair them, improve them, replace parts of them and we’ve made medicines focused on them entirely. Knowing they exist is common knowledge, right?

What if there was a system in your body you didn’t know much about? That no one knew about until recently?
